What district am I in?

What do they mean by "Chittenden-1," anyway?

Vermont's state house districts are named according to the county they cover. For example, Chittenden-1 is the first state house district in Chittenden County. Some districts are multi-member, so you will vote for more than one representative.

To look up your House or Senate district and its configuration, see the state legislature's website or contact your town clerk.

Town Meeting Day

Town Meeting Day is held on the first Tuesday of March in most towns in Vermont. Town Meeting Day information is available from the Secretary of State's website, Town Meeting and Local Elections. That includes how to conduct a meeting, how to get an issue on the ballot, how to run for local office, and more.
